Last night I attended a little event at the Lush Spa in Leeds City Centre to celebrate the shop's fourth birthday. The night involved finding out about some of the treatments that Lush do including Validation, The Spell, The Good Hour and Tailor Made. We even got a sneak peak at the spa rooms and they were absolutely amazing! Since it was my first time at Lush, it was a great experience and a bit overwhelming at first but It was really fascinating. We also found out about the range of makeup called 'Emotional Brilliance' which is tailored to your mood which was really interesting as I had never experience it before. All in all, I had a lovely night and it was great to see some familar faces and to mingle with lots of bloggers!

Happy Birthday Lush Spa Leeds!

Lush Spa Leeds: Fourth Birthday Event

dress: vintage fair / clutch: hand-me-down (Nana) / shoes: hand-me-down (Mum)
Yesterday was one of the best days of my whole time at High School. It was prom!
I went with my friends and we had a blast and It was pretty emotional because I'm the only one  out of my group of friends who is moving to a college and not staying on at my school's sixth form.

Now, my dress! This sparkly number was such a bargain. I spotted it at a vintage fair back in October. I walked towards it, had a look but thought nothing of it. Then it hit me. Prom dress?! I ran to my mum and told her I'd found a dress I liked, I pulled her to it and she had a look. She ultimately thought the same and we went down to the changing rooms. As soon as I tried it on, I  instantly knew this was the dress I had been looking for and since it's vintage no one else would have it! For accessories, I wore a pair of my mum's silver heels and I borrowed a vintage clutch from my grandma. I also had a holographic, floral hair clip from H&M. As for hair and make-up, I did my make-up myself as a simple winged liner, a bit of blush and  nude lip colour. My hair was done professionally by my mum's friend and I loved it as I wanted something really elegant and sort of twenties inspired to keep with the vintage theme.

I had a fantastic night and one that I will most certainly remember for the rest of my life as I was on the dance floor all night and enjoyed myself loads!

Have you had your prom this year?

How To:
Add two teaspoons of Olive oil into your mixing bowl and then add about five or six teaspoons of sugar until it turns into a scrub consistency. Place the mixture into a little container and you're done! This scrub can be used for the lips or the face and I would advice using this product daily for maximum results for your lips and probably once or twice per week for your face.

This heart décor was inspired from pinterest and they are quick and fun to make. They make a sweet a quirky touch to any room and what better way to recycle old magazines eh?
How To:
With two strips of magazine, hold them at the bottom and curl the top outwards until they meet the bottom and make a heart shape. Simply staple your little creation and slot each heart in and secure with another staple to make a garland or you could make the hearts into a wall decoration. I placed mine primly on my bedroom door as little cute bit of decoration to welcome others in and it fits in nicely with the 'minimalistic' theme of my bedroom.

What do you think to this DIY idea?
