Photo Diary | A Sunny Afternoon at Fountains Abbey

You might see a pattern emerging with ruined Abbeys (see exhibit A here)!
Yesterday, after finding out my GCSE results, my family and I visited Fountains Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales for a few hours since we have recently joined the National Trust (if you have ever seen The History Boys you may recognise it). It was very warm and glorious sunshine which lifted my mood even more! The views were absolutely breathtaking as we  had a walk around the grounds of the abbey and stopped off for a cup of tea and a little something to eat along the way. All in all, Fountains Abbey is such a magnificent building and I cannot wait to visit again.
Have you ever visited Fountains Abbey?
