I honestly cannot believe that this year will be coming to an end when the clock strikes twelve this evening! The year 2013 has been good to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I mean sure, there have been ups and downs but hasn't everyone experienced that? I thought I would reminisce and share with you my highlights...

MY BLOG IN 2013: A lot of amazing opportunities have happened with my little space on the internet this year including that of having the chance to go down to London for the 'Company Style Blogger Awards' in May. It was a fabulous day that included fan-girling like crazy when meeting the likes of Ellie, Rhiannon and Megan (crazy). I have also had the chance to work with some absolutely fantastic brands and people especially that of the ever so lovely Fiona from Fragrance Direct who was kind enough to send me the loveliest christmas card. We are hopefully due to work together in the next year so keep your eyes peeled for a few more reviews in the coming months. One of my favourite and most memorable moments this year with regards to my blog was definitely getting the chance to interview Gabrielle Aplin which you can see here. She was so lovely and you should check it out, if you're a fan of thrifting and charity shops.

MUSIC IN 2013: Music has been a huge influence with regards to my life this year and I have repeatedly listened to 'English Rain' by Gabrielle Aplin ever since nicking it from twin sister and having it on my ipod on the way to college. I even got the chance to see her live in November and it was one of the best moments of my life (honestly). I have recently had Natalie Holmes' three EPs on repeat since, again, nicking them from twin sister and I got the chance to see Natalie live in the sweetest little gig at a local church in Leeds. It was a fabulous night, and I even got chance to speak to her for a little while when I bought a little friendship bracelet I even had a signed postcard. Other artists and bands I have been loving this year are Tom Odell, Fionn Regan, and HAIM.

MY LIFE IN 2013: With regards to my life in general, I managed to pass my GCSEs with eleven passes, including Maths- my worst subject that meant I could go to the college I had wanted to attend ever since getting a conditional offer and leave my high school forever! I have loved every single moment of my new college since my first day in September and my firm favourite subjects are English Language and Literature without a doubt. I definitely think moving to a new college was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In July I got the chance to visit Italy this summer with my family which was a great experience and I have little post on it here. In early December, our family adopted the most gorgeous kitten, Otis and for someone who doesn't even like cats, I've been converted...

There you have my highlights, so I thought I would share with you my goals for next year:
Give this little space a bit of a makeover? (Achieved Wednesday 1 January 2014)
• Stay positive and try to be optimistic! (Achieved Wednesday 12 February 2014)
• Maybe start a you tube channel?!
• Try to meet a few more of my blogging friends...

Thank you all for sticking with me here, on my blog, this year and for all your kind comments, and for following me, in fact, for just simply having a read of what I have to say, even if it's soppy (like this post)...

For the Love of 2013 • Looking back on the year...
