The Leeds Vintage Kilo Sale

Yesterday, I was invited along to the The Leeds Vintage Kilo Sale at Holy Trinity Church in Leeds. I brought my friend Rachel, along with me (who writes a blog here). The church was bustling with vintage and retro lovers! It was really exciting to wander round, hoping we would find something to stuff our bags with. Admittedly, it was also pretty good for people-watching and finding inspiration for outfits and how to stylishly wear vintage items without looking like your grandmother.

| WHAT IS THE VINTAGE KILO SALE? HOW DOES IT WORK?

The fair have plenty of items dating from the '60s to the '90s. Pick and choose items (normally 4-5 lightweight equal a kilo) and pop them in your vintage kilo bag. When you have finished shopping, you take it to the weighing tills where you will be charged £15 per kilo. This is a lot cheaper than on the high street, and you can get a whole new wardrobe and meaning you can experiment with new styles.

| TOP TIP: ALWAYS TRY ITEMS ON! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT MIGHT FIT YOU!

There were rails filled with dresses, coats, jackets as well as huge tubs in the middle of the church full to the brim of miscellaneous items, which was really exciting to dig through. We both managed to nab two winter coats* (which I am pleased to say, fits me absolutely perfectly, despite looking huge on the hanger).

All in all, it was lovely to see Rachel yesterday having it been quite a while since I saw her (Little Comets in York FYI). I would also like to say a very big "Thank you" to Jenessa and The The Leeds Vintage Kilo Sale for inviting me along to the event, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
